We now call our regular book club meeting the Pizza & Dumpling Night event because, thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are able to provide a simple meal for participants before we start presentations, readings, and discussions at our regular book club meetings.
Agenda for the upcoming Pizza & Dumpling Night:
Time: Thursday march 1, 2018
6:30-7:00 PM Pizzas, dumplings & social
7:00-8:30 PM Meeting
1. Each participant will have a 1-minute presentation, sharing anything happened in his/her life, or a thought/idea etc. Then take 3 questions from other members.
2. A couple of members will summarize and lead the discussion of Emily Post’s Etiquette(18th edition) Chapter 33 Office Issues, and Chapter 34 Workplace Relationships. We picked these two chapters especially because on March 22 we’ll have human resource manager(s) coming to share at the monthly East&West Dialogue event.
3. If we have extra time, we’ll pick a topic of interest to discuss, encouraging all participants to voice their opinions in a clear, polite, and constructive way. Please feel free to send your suggestion on topics.
Venue: Iroquois Junior Public School265 Chartland Blvd., Scarborough (near Finch & Brimley. Free parking available at the west side of the building.)
Cost: Free (a simple meal included). A donation of a loonie or a toonie would be appreciated, too.
Please RSVP by Wednesday February 28 if you wish to have the meal with us: ericliujt@gmail.com. Thanks!
