East and West Book Club meeting

Attendees: Yang, Annie, Yingzi, Eric, Fiona, Sophia

 

Discussed on various topics in the participant’s’ life lately. Each person shared something interesting. Eric shared a movie called The Matrix that he was working on for English project. Fiona shared she went to a maple syrup collector place and learned the whole process of making maple syrup. Sophia shared the literacy test she is taking on March 30th, and how she prepared for it. Annie shared the curtains she bought last year in China, and Yingzi shared her interest in bakery and how she learned English from it. Yang shared a story about how an upper class Australian family trained their boy to live with a family that lives by farming. We discussed some etiquette about be aware of a person’s personal space, you should let them notice if getting near them, that is to acknowledge people’s existence. Eric and Yang presented the opportunity of moving the book club to a public school every Wednesday night. They also shared the flyers they made. The whole conversation was great and the atmosphere is relaxing.
