Thanks to the League of Canadian Poets for funding, our old friend, Mississauga’s inaugural poet laureate Anna Yin, will facilitate two poetry workshops again at the East and West Learning Connections, co-hosted by SureWay Press.
Saturday March 6, 2021 at 3-5 P.M. Eastern Time
Haiku Workshop with Anna Yin
A haiku is a brief poem that uses concrete images to reflect natural events and human experiences, using a two-part juxtaposition as well as simple and objective language to capture a moment of wonder or wholeness and presents the existence as it is.
Anna Yin has hosted haiku workshops in Canada and USA since 2013. She uses word games, photos/haiku match games to discuss what haiku are and how to write haiku.
