When: Sunday January 19, 2020 6:00-8:30 P.M.
Where: near Finch & Brimley in Scarborough, details to be advised upon RSVP
Cost: Free.  Please bring some food to share if you can.
Language: English

Host Biography:

Ramya Amuthan is currently a Host and Producer at Accessible Media Inc
(AMI). She works with the live afternoon show team for the daily
Entertainment and Lifestyle audio show called Kelly and Company.  Her
work involves meeting fascinating people, hearing their stories, and
facilitating conversations that bring out the messages wanting to be
told.  She is also the Co-creator of Adventures, a chapter of the
Canadian Council of the Blind, based in Toronto, offering and
facilitating opportunities for blind and low vision individuals to
take part in daring physical activities.
For Ramya there is always time for hobbies: singing – for herself and
sometimes others, dancing – mostly Brazilian Zouk, and brushing up on
her culinary skills.
Here’s some quotes from Ramya: “Life is easier when you’re flexible,
even when the world is not.”  “It’s okay to feel bad sometimes, but
you can’t stay there forever.”  “If opportunities come, explore them.”
“Everything is temporary, and you can make it that way.”

Agenda:

6:00-7:00 P.M.  Pot luck food tasting & conversations
7:00-8:30 P.M.  Learning session

Ramya will share her experiences making adult decisions, like moving
out at 18 years of age, choosing colleges, jobs, and the failures and
successes.  She will also talk about her work at AMI: the best parts,
the challenges, how she learns to do her job better every day, what
she has learnt from others, and what others can learn from her.  Why
does Ramya feel amazing about where she is?  Will she be there
forever?  Let’s find it out!  And somewhere along the way, Ramya will
facilitate Group Vocal Exercises.  Hopefully, through fun vocal
warm-ups, Learning to project our voice, speaking with inflection,
staying true to our voice, and with Ramya’s public speaking tips,
everyone of us will speak like a radio show host, or a singer, when we
give our own 1-2 minute presentations, sharing anything we’d love to
share about our lives!

Professionals or home-makers, parents or students, everyone is
welcome!  Space is limited.  First come, first served.  Please RSVP as
soon as possible, and by Saturday nightJanuary 18, 2020 at
robulinca@gmail.com.  Location details will be sent to you upon
successful RSVP.  Thanks!
