The East&West Dialogue with HR Veterans II on June 14 2018

Kaye Leslie was born and raised in South Western Ontario in a big family. Graduated from Fanshawe College and University Of Western Ontario, Kaye had a complex career path, selling Real Estate, working as a Social Worker and finally working for the past 25 years in Human Resources for major banks.  She later graduated from York University with a Masters degree in Disability Studies.  Kaye has co-authored a text book that is being used by university students across Canada and the United States on Seniors and Sensory Loss.  She has enjoyed comedy and has performed at Second City and Yuk Yuks in Toronto and is recently retired.  She loves animals, and has passionate interests in reading, scuba diving, cross country skiing, cycling and walking.  She also enjoys travelling and plans to continue visiting interesting countries in the future.

Lin Tian is a CHRL (Certified Human Resources Leader) and CPM (Certified Payroll Manager).  In the past over 20 years, Lin has held the positions of the Eastern Region Manager at T&T Supermarket, and the Manager of Regional Employment Development at Gardaworld aviation services, among others.  Since April 2010, Lin has been running LinHR Consulting Inc., Providing a full spectrum of HR Management and payroll management services to unionized or non-unionized organizations of various size across Canada.  In her spare time, Lin likes to play the dulcimer.  She also loves to share HR best practices via her weekly Blog on LinHR website and WeChat platform.

At our June’s East&West Dialogue event, the two human resource veterans will share their insights, and give answers to following questions (and more, of course, if you bring them!):

Where: Iroquois Junior Public School,

265 Chartland Blvd., Scarborough

(near Finch & Brimley; free parking available at the west side of the school building.)

 

Cost: Free (including a simple meal).  A donation of a loonie or a toonie would be appreciated.
