Dan Xia is a first-year medical student at the University of Rochester and the International Director of the Sagrema Foundation, a community-based organization on Mfangano Island in Kenya. Driven by his passion for service and global health, Dan has spent the last few years creating and operating a community clinic, providing affordable healthcare to hundreds of patients on the island.

His journey doesn’t end there. Over the past six years, Dan has traversed over 140 countries, immersing himself in diverse cultures and broadening his understanding of the world. Through his travels, he’s cultivated a deep appreciation for intercultural exchange and the importance of a global perspective in addressing global challenges.

In his free time, Dan enjoys engaging in a myriad of hobbies, from studying languages to practicing gymnastics and experimenting with cooking. His multifaceted interests reflect his insatiable curiosity and relentless pursuit of personal growth.
