The East & West Dialogue with HR Veterans on April 26, 2018

Marcia Dunbar has served University of Toronto, Seneca College, Career Edge and other organizations, promot

ing respectful workplaces in HR planning, operations and independent consulting roles for over 15 years.  She is passionate about helping young people understand the new world of work, and has Over 8 years supporting and teaching recent grads to kick start their careers through paid internships and job search strategies.  Now a mother of 2, Marcia Grew up in Scarborough, and attended Henry Kelsey, Agincourt CI and  Albert Campbell CI.  She said she would be very happy to come back to the community, and share her experience and knowledge with us.

Shengnan Ma is an active member of our book club.  She works for Ontario government in human resource area.  Shengnan will be hosting the night, and interviewing Marcia from her unique standing point of view.

Parents, professionals and students, you are cordially invited to this exciting East&West Dialogue event held at our book club.  Bring your ears, questions or stories of your own.  Walk home with inspirations, tips, mindful thoughts regarding job searches and workplace cultures, and most probably, friendships as well!

Guest speaker Marcia first talked about herself and her job. Then, Shengnan asked Marcia many good questions on hiring people and they shared their experiences. They gave many insightful suggestions to finding a career. They focused on the younger generation and future employments and gave their thoughts on that.
